The Georgia Winnie Rebels held their 34th annual State Rally in Perry, Georgia from April 20-23 with a theme of “Gone Hollywood”. There were 98 coaches in attendance representing 12 states and 20 vendors. We were honored to have Dick & Nikki Dodge, our Eastern WIT representatives in attendance. The rally grounds were exceptional as usual, and the weather was in the balmy low 80’s all week.
The ice cream social on Thursday was tasty with everyone receiving a pint of Edy’s Ice Cream. Bingo was led by Franklin Jackson on Thursday evening, and all who attended had a great time. All enjoyed their fair share of hot dogs for lunch on Friday. Yoder’s, a local Mennonite catering service, prepared superb meals on Friday and Saturday evening.
Ray Shaw, our Friday night entertainment, was dynamic. Bone & Holmes performed Saturday night, and were energetic and enjoyable as always.
John Bleakley Motor Homes generously supported the rally. They brought several new coaches for all to tour and purchase.
Saturday night, costumes ranged from Laurel & Hardy, Marc Anthony & Cleopatra, Hello Dolly, Mash, the Wizard of Oz, and even Larry the Cable Guy. A great time was had by all, and we are looking forward to next year
